Pulane Shomang is a highly successful film Entertainment producer and the Chief Executive Officer of South African Woman in Television Arts (SAWITA) based in Johannesburg South Africa.

Pulane’s 2020 debut on SABC 1, drama series “Family Secrets “ was one of the most watched show on SABC which aired every Sunday at 8pm on SABC1. Family Secrets Season1 on its Premier night it had 3.2million viewers and in its 6th week on air Family Secrets was amongst the Top 20 Most watched show on SABC, and the next 13 weeks it was the most popular and most watched show on Sundays. SABC went on and licensed Family Secrets Season2 which performed just as well as Season1. She recently produced her third drama series “The Executives” on South African Broadcasting Corporation.

Pulane has 12years experience in the Film and Television Industry. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences in Communications and is a member of Sisters Working in Film & Television(SWIFT).

SAWITA headed by Pulane became the South African Content Aggregator for Vubiquity Africa, where she licensed SAWITA content as well as the SABC Content for the MTN, Vodacom and Cell C Black VOD Platforms. SAWITA has just recently opened two divisions SAWITA Enterprise and Development, where they do Production training and Mentorship programs, whereas SAWITA Studios they do in house Post-Production, Sound Mastering, Subtitling, Dubbing and Close Caption for Production Companies that need this service.
